If you have ever seen a rival player with a blazing flame wrapped around their avatar, you have witnessed the "On Fire" status. In Match Masters, catching fire is more than just a visual flex—it is one of the most efficient ways to accelerate your account progression and climb the ranks.

What the "On Fire" Status Does

The primary benefit of being On Fire is an accelerated trophy gain. When the status is active, every subsequent victory awards bonus trophies on top of your standard win payout. This multiplier allows you to blaze through Trophy Road milestones, unlock tier chests ahead of schedule, and gain ground quickly during competitive events. The status stays active as long as you keep winning; a single defeat will extinguish the flame.

How to Trigger and Protect Your Streak

To trigger the status, you need to win consecutive matches in standard play. While starting a streak takes just a couple of clean wins, maintaining it requires deliberate, low-risk gameplay:

Play your most consistent booster: Avoid experimenting with unfamiliar boosters while building or protecting a streak. Stick to boosters where you have mastered the activation tempo and color-matching requirements.

Prioritize board denial: Match Masters is as much about defense as offense. Avoid leaving easy four-in-a-row setups or high-value color clusters for your opponent, especially if their booster is close to charging.

Control the timer: Do not rush your moves. Look for cascading matches that grant extra turns before spending your booster activation, ensuring you maximize points per round.

When Not to Chase the Streak

Because a single loss ends it, the status rewards caution far more than aggression, and the most common way players lose a streak is by treating it as a reason to play more rather than more carefully. If your lives are low, if you are tired, or if the current modifier is one you handle poorly, the streak is worth less than it appears. Ending a run deliberately while ahead costs nothing; losing it three matches later costs you the run and the trophies from the match you lost.

Line the Streak Up With Something Worth Multiplying

Bonus trophies are most valuable when they are being applied to something you were already trying to reach. Starting a run shortly before a milestone, or during an event that also rewards consecutive wins, means the same matches pay twice.
